Sorry i am a Noob to the CRV

So i been thinking of buying a 97-00 CRV that has a blown motor and he is selling it for cheap... but here was my plans if i did get it, and would like your input of the All wheel drive Automatic Idea since it was really was the second honda with the all wheel. but, from what i hear they had problems with there rear diff and tranmission. let me know your in put please.

i plan on putting Built/stock LS motor with a jackson racing 6lbs supercharger with the basic bolt-on and still have it pass emission and be able to be my DD with the Fact that I ice Fish/camp/trips ETC.

 

I have had my AWD 2001 CRV and have had no problems with the tranny/and rear diff yet *knocks on wood*. I think as long as you don't abuse it and replace the rear diff fluid on time you will be ok.

 

no problems. Mine was drag raced for years with a full swap and turbo, on the stock tranny and rear diff, no problems at all. Just fluid swaps. It went a 12.9 in the 1/4 mile, the fastest in the USA.
