ok so heres the deal, i have a b16 in my EJ6 and i have a rusty, looks like **** dc 4-2-1 header. its rewelded and leaking horribly, so im on a mission to find a 4-1 header with good clearance. i am leaning towards either the jdm itr 4-1 header (OEM) or the dc sports 4-1 header.

i am looking for something as close to as good clearance as mine, so please if you can, post up any pics you have or reccomendations you might have. any help would be greatly appreciated

I would get the header that KIddracing or something like that. i forgot what the name of the header is. Let me search for it.

lol its not THAT low, but yes the header i have now does fit perfect.

no..just light scratches. it looks like that but its not really dented...

 

when you get your new header, go to a muffler shop or something and have a skid plate welded on. it helps.

 

yeah i was def. planning that, but thats a reason why i was looking into an oem itr header...because of the plate it comes with on the bottom

sick...i have had same issues before but then i got a Greddy header man that **** bolted right up to my oem exhaust in my 98 ex when i swapped my poor mans type r in and it was sucked up all the way my oil pan was a good inch or two lower than header i never it my header and my **** was way more dumped let me find a pic

it was a Greddy Trust 4-1 header not 4-2-1...im sorry i dont usually take pics of under my cars hahah

Won't you have even less clearance with a 4-1? It looks like the kiddRACING header posted above hangs lower than you're current header.

ive been doing some searching...i think i might have to settle with a greddy or toda 4-2-1, i think my car is just too low, and since i have a b16 and not 18, any header would hang lower (b18 deckheight is taller)

 

I can post some pix 2mrw (well later lol) of my genuine type r 4-1 on b16b and my car is lowarr 2=]

i was gonna suggest some tri-y headers too. i heard they flow great and give you good ground clearance.
