i know neither will come out looking professionally done.
but give me some opinions.

duplicolor milano red and clear while drying

crappy pic was taken with an iphone in my basement looked much better in the sun and before it got scratched and half the paint taken off with a shopping cart. /rant

I have used Ace Rust Stop enamel paint on many things. It is FAR superior to what duplicolor puts out and much cheaper. 3 bucks a car I think.

I did the same with my mirrors. I gave the paint the recommended time for curing and then cut and buffed. They came out way better than expected! I'll post a pic as soon as I can take one...
