Motor questions...B or H?
I have a 94 SI hatch and was originally saving for a K swap, after selling my B16 CRX I have 9 grand to spend. After saving all this and sellin my old project car i have started to have a war with my self on the motor swap. The K just doesn't make sense to me (money to power) so i am between the JDM GSR, ITR and a H2B setup (which i dont know much about). This car will still be a daily driver but will also see the track from time to time. what are the pros and cons on these motors and does anyone know if i can still have my p/s and a/c with any swap other than the B-series.....Help me please
I would recommend the H, it has more hp and tq than the b. It is a little heavier than the b and the k but not by much. The power steering you will have to do without and the ac is possible to keep.
Go into the Hybrid section to look up all 3 swaps, or in this forum in the FAQ section with all of the pros and cons. There is even a section in the Hybrid forum for the H2B swap specifically.
If it were my car I'd do an H2B swap on it.

If you want to turbo your car I recommend getting a B18C/R.
If you want to all motor, H2B can never let you down. Just a little harder to install (That's why we have friends), but it's worth every sweat dropped haha.
Or if you want a fast fast car. Just turbo your single cam, Build/Tune properly. Push out 20-22psi and you got yourself a real monster. SINGLES FTW! Haha.

I don't, i recommend getting an engine that doesn't begin with 11:1 compression.
h2b can be serious, but maybe it's the traditionalist in me that recommends the tried and true ls/vtec or even b20/vtec. besides, he still wants it to be readily streetable, i'm not arguing the h2b can't be, but it'd be a little more of a pain in the ***.
this is true, but i wouldn't just go throwing any turbo on and wickin it up to 22psi, it depends on the turbo size. decide what your power goal is first and make your build revolve around that, not vice versa.

if you plan to ge H you should check out my sale. but this and you'll need very little to be fast. i have everything for eg swap. this isn't the motor i was running. this is fresh build 0 miles. everything for h2b for a fraction of the cost.

Ya i got the issue with the G23, but just seems unrealiable to me, and after owning one B series motor i know they can handle alot of abuse, and have drove alot of 22's and know they can too, its just trying to figure out if i can keep all the goodies of a SI hatch and put enough power under the hood to satisfy my needs.
