F22a1/f22a4 easy HP under $250
here are a few tips and tricks to get some extra horses for under $250 oh your F22a1 or a4
1. replace your intake manifold with an H23 intake manifold....
you can find this in any junkyard, craigslist, ebay, or hit me up and i can send you one really cheap....
2. if you have an F22a1 you can change in exhaust manifold either to the A4 manifold that was made like the tube style headers for better flow or get yourself some ebay headers which (heres a tip) is unbranded headers... so they can be anywhere from obx, megan, and skunk2... they just dont have a name so thats why they are so cheap.... i've always used those and they work amazing....
3. change your camshaft for the F22a6 which is more aggresive...(unless you already have an f22a6 then ur set)
4. eliminate your balance shaft belt which will free up a proven up to 8-9 whp... which is like saying 12-13 hp which is also a huge gain...
4. change your PT3 ecu to the obd1 prelude p12 ecu...
5. if your going to get an intake get a cold air... short rams suck in hot air in the engine bay which is no good for a performance.....
i've done all of these mods on and eliminated my PS and complete AC system my old 91 coupe and from the stock f22a4 dynoed at 123 whp 134 wtq, i pulled an amazing 172 whp and 181 wtq....
just make sure you clear all CEL codes, get a new oxygen sensor, replace all your gaskets to make sure you dont have any oil leaks which lead to a slight loss in compression... not so much to be noticible but any loss be it a .0001 loss is still a loss and can make a difference....
