99-00 honda civic transmission?
aight will i have a 2000 honda civic dx car and my automatic transmission went out. and somebody is trying to sell me a 1999 honda civic automatic ex transmission for dirt cheap. the question is will the ex automatic transmission will fitt on my honda civic dx car.... i went to a shop and the shop is trying to sell me a stock honda civic dx automatic transmission for a arm and a leg.. and they also advice me that the ex transmission wont fitt on my car///// are they trying to make money off of me or is it a simple fact it wont fitt... thanks for all the help in advance
Not really sure about the fitment of the two, but I am also in the market for a tranny and have come across sellers looking to get rid of their trannys for dirt cheap, but you never know what kind of driver they are your best bet is to find a rebuilt tranny somewhere. I would like to say that you'd be lookin at around 7-800 atleast that's what I have come up with so far.
It will definately fit, theres no question there, I'm just not positive its the same electronically, although i'm about 99.9% sure it is. (the '92 - 95 civics had one transmission across all models, the EX didn't get a shorter geared tranny like the manual versions did)
