91 EF SI stolen from me in South Jersey
So I sold my 91 si hatch to this kid I go to school with, I was super nice about it, even let him make payments on the car, well after the 1st payment, he dropped out of school ( about 1/2 way through) leaving about a 15,000 dollar tuition for a ~2000 dollar car and wont return my phone calls. He lives somewhere around Haddon Heights area, but I've seen the car around Belmawr/ Mt. Ephriam. Its all black tinted, wit SI bronze wheels, lowered, pretty loud, shocker symbol on the hatch glass. If you think you seen it, send me a PM with the license plate you saw, let you know if thats it. I can't even take it to our lovely municipal governemnt because he did pay the 1st bit of money so its not a criminal case its civil so they cant use police resources. Anyway, just thought I'd put it out there, saw the car one time and went to try and talk to the kid, snuck out the back door and ripped tires across 4 lanes of traffic on a busy *** road, so he obviously knows what he did. So hit me up if you've seen it!!
Yeah, I do have the title in my name, and yeah you're right, nice guys do finish last, totally my fault. From now on its cash up front and bill of sale all the way. Also, not sure what an alarm would do for me in this situation.....

i sold my last crx and let the guy pay in payments but i didnt let him have it til it was paid off. if the vehicles title is in your name u can have it repo'd or just leave him a nasty voicemail saying that ull report it stolen.
Have you reported this to the police? I am also assuming that he is still using your plates on the car? Not a good idea. Hopefully you get it back.
Yeah only problem is that I can't report it stolen since he did make the first payment, its a civil case, not criminal so the police won't do anything. Trust me, heh, I've tried. I probably will just repo it then.
. Ah well, its a learning experience if anything, now I know what NOT to do when you sell a car!
Agree. My agreement for my old car is settled as I live with him but thats different. First thing you should have done. Taken his name, DL number, and gotten his insurance company and policy so you had ALL his info so they can find him to find him. as it has payments on it but not finished, if you dont hear from him in (I think) 30 days, you can have it sent out as stolen, and it will be a charge on him, no matter his reason for not paying.
