Is this the first year for the index classes? I have always been a firm believer in having an INDEX CLASS for SPORT COMPACTS. This is the next best step in having a heads up class without all the B.S. rules. So there is no more excuses for cars to not come out and no crying that they don't fit into a class.
Due to the Q32 and $10K Shootout classes, what's the chance of having a full SFWD class? Its a 3 hour drive for me, race gas, and entry fee. Just bought a house and I'm getting marrried next Wednesday so money's a little tight. If its not a full payout I may have to just come watch.

My bad, I didn't realize you guys have a better turnout than we do down here. The past 3 races I went to in MD there were less than 16 in SFWD. As long as I finally switch to a twin disc by then I'll be there!
there were index classes at the spring nationals and summer slam that did ok. even though we would prefer to see some of the existing heads up classes the two index classes should be a better fit for this event and give every kind of car a shot at some heads up racing. hopefully people come out and support it and understand that you dont have to run right on the index to win. you could be a full second or more over the index and still win because just like in heads up racing anything can happen: redlights, missed shifts, breakdowns, holeshots and now breakouts. so anything is possible.

I still think that alot of people truely don't understand what index racing is or about. Some people think its bracket racing.
It's a good oppurtunity for some old hot rod cars that wasn't fast enough in the EGGUM/TRAN era to come out and run some good ole heads up and not really push their cars so hard.
