Default broken shock?

hi guys my car has been making a strange popping/clicking noise from the right rear suspension area, it's really anoying and it does it on every bump. i have tokiko illuminas that are about 2 1/2 years old, could they be bad? any possible ideas. it makes the noise on every bum alomost sounds like the coil would be loose and poping in and out.

may be a broken shock, or broken control arm, maybe warped hub.

rip off the wheel, and look. if all looks well, add some weight to the back of the car and see how fast the shock works.

is there a good way to check if a shock is good? just make sure it decompresses?
