Hello everyone I was wondering if all ef civics are wired for a tach?
I used to have a 96 hatch and i know all of those were wired for tach and that you could plug and play a cluster in that had a tach. Does anyone know if thats the same for an EF.

EF's are cable driven so, only cable driven tach's can be used. If you want to run the newer tachs. You would need to wire up an electronic VSS speed sensor to your tranny and gauge cluster.

 

Will a cluster from another EF plug right in or would i have to run that cable

 

If the EF cluster you are getting is the same year as your car it will be plug and play.
