Default difference between rev limiter and fuel cutoff

Will it feel the same - the rev limiter and fuel cutoff? My 94 vtec can't rev past 7300-7400 indicated (according to my tach).

Yes it will. You can read your rpm's with a multimeter, if you have access to one. There is an ignition wire that is located in the engine bay, on the passenger-side shock tower. It is blue and will have a black rubber boot covering it. I believe you can get your rpm readout from that wire.

just to answer the basic question....

rev limiter and fuel cutoff are one in the same....and yes, you'll know when you hit it.

Stock tachs are off...in my 5gen....rev limiter is about 7600 on the VAFC, but my tach will indicate around 8000

hmm, you're right about the tach, but i would make a distinction between a rev limiter and a fuel cut. theres other ways of limiting revs, for example by the ignition, which is much gentler on your engine than a fuel cut.
