I have a stock b18c1 gsr that I will rebuilding soon and I would like to bump the compresion up a lil by changing out the slugs for itr pistons but they r not oem they r nippon pistons and I'm also gettin them for the lo if i get them jus wanted to know if they r same quality or better or worse because I don't know any one personaly that has used them before

 

because they are generic. of all generic things dont put that stuff inside the motor. gsr is i think 10.1. eagle rods and wiseco 11.1 or 12.1 pistons would be a nice bump in powa with some cams...dude that would sick fun

 

For a simple build he doesn't need anything crazy. Nippon pistons are fine, as are some others. I would just use some JDM type R pistons which will give you about 11:1 but make sure you get a piston that's sized to 81.5mm and have your block bored to match.

 

Thanks for the feedback I've decided to go with the nippon pistons and plus I'm not doing that crazy of a build more like a gsr wit type r internals and bolt ons
