this thread is a waste of space.

you know nothing of what you are thinking of doing.

ok, ill be a little nicer and tell you "Dropping in" cams is a waste of cash without any tuning, and with a stock redline.

your close.. i do know a little about what i'm doing, but i dont know much, thats why i ask questions. i do plan on doing some minor tuning, but i was wondering if i would feel any gains by just putting them in. i have heard cases of the skunk2 cams being a bolt on 10 hp, and was wondering if the ITR cams were any similar. as for my redline, i would love to build the valve train, but i got no money for that, so i'll do what i can with what money i can.

this thread is a waste of space.
and thanks for your opinion although i didnt ask..

Moderator-- throw Soup **** off this as his comments have no place here. I to would like to see more feed back on the subject of ctr cams in a 94 gsr. I have cold air box, headers, and slightly worked over head and modified ECU. My rev limiter is gone.

I think the range for ITR cams in a gsr is 7-11 hp.

Damn, you have no redline

If you have a little extra money, save for the Skunk2 Stage I. Or Stage II if you have cash for upgraded valvetrain, pistons, etc.

Will you see much gain using your stock cam gears and valvetrain? Or is it a waste without new cam gears and tuning? How can you change your redline without sending your ECU off, can it be done by someone with a laptop?

I've had untuned ITR cams in my car for over half a year now and it's an improvement over stock even without tuning. The only problem is that there is a dip in power just before vtec hits but after that it pulls hard all the way to redline. I've finally decided to get off my *** and get the car tuned this month.
