DIY: Gauge cluster lense repair: Make it look like new!
So I learned the hard way, that you NEVER use Windex on your gauge cluster. I was cleaning the windows and sprayed the cluster (not knowning what would happen) let the Windex sit on it and when I got around to cleaning it, it looked like this:

So I decided to do something about it. I did a lil research prior to doing this and I saw all sorts of BS answers. People were suggesting going out and buying all sorts fo stuff, saying polishers don't work.
Whatever!
Buy some of this.. You can pick it up just abotu anywhere (Walmart, Autoparts store) for around $5.00.

Using a rag (or an old sock in my case) rub some of the compound on the lense and start rubbing in small circles.. Think wax on, wax off
Wipe it with a clean rag and you end up with this after a few minutes. I don't have 10 mins in this, maybe 6 or 7, tops.

Cell phone pics suck, sorry, but you get the idea. Looks better to me!
Here's some pics of the cluster taken with a better camera. And just so you see the difference...

New pics!

Enj0y!
And since I"m on the subject of polishing, this stuff is awesome for yellowed lenses too!

I didn't sand the lenses down or anything, I just went at em with a mothers Powerball.
This thingy.

And it works just as well on the wheels. No prop, no sanding, just Mothers polish and powerball.

The white on the tires comes off with a wet rag, no biggie.
Anyway guys, maybe this will help you out.
