crx interior questions
1989 crx si. stockish.
im doing a few things, and need some pointers.
the car we got was trashed on the interior. it had been parked for years with the winows half down. it was so trashed that when we peeled up what was left of teh carpet, we found mold. now that the metal, insulation, and plastics are cleaned up, repaird, or replaced, im starting to put it back together from various donor cars. ive got better carpet thats already down. had to cut some new holes, etc, but its down. i actually stripped the whole interior from a 91 so id have enough parts to fix mine.
anyway, on to the questions.
1. neither car had a decent set of AC/heater controls. both sets are all busted up, and thres no CRX's in jusnkyards anywhere near here. any suggestions? ive heard about some sort of repair plate, and also a swap from an accord or something. but i apparently suck with the search function, as i didnt find anything like what i was looking for.
2. neither car had usable seats. i know ill get flamed for this, but im putting APC seats in it. i had them left over from an S10 i autocross, and theyre paid for. they are tmporary while i get the car sorted out motor, brake and chassis wise. then ill upgrade to some FIA approved seats, probably fixed back sparco's. anyway, how are you guys getting these things in? i bolted the CRX stracks to the seats, and the mounting holes into the floor are about 3/4-1 inch off. it looks like i could use my dremel tool to oval all the holes in the seat tracks and get it to fit, but there probably a better way than this.
3. will the silver faced gauges out of the 91 fit my 89 with no wiring mods?
4. in the hatch area, the fiberboard panels are all busted up. the carpet and hardware is still good though. so what i thought about doing was taking some 1/4" paneling, cutting it to fit well with the busted panels, and marrying the two with an adhesive for a repair. any other ideas?
5. lastly, the little storage poclets behind the seats. the carpet covers have come off, letting the lids fall off. what adhesive and prep do i use for reattachement?
thanks, guys.

A. go to car-parts.com you might be able to find the heater/AC control unit there. or check in the Marketplace for someone that might be parting one out. Also the replacement plate is in the FAQ's at the top.

A. No the 90-91 gauge cluster has slightly different wiring than the 88-89 cluster. I can't find the site with the cluster swap info, hopefully someone will chime in with it

A. I would use 3m adheasive or something that will work well with carpet.
thanks, guys.
