hey guys. i have a 96 gsr motor that i am rebuilding and i want to put head studs into it. my friend has some b16 headstuds and we fitted them into my block and put the head on and there was still enough room to thread the nuts onto them so i think that they will work. but i just wanted to make sure that doing this wont mess anything up. thanks for the help.

 

I thought b16 was shorter than the gsr.

I wouldn't chance it though.

 

good question, my buddy just called asking to buy my arp's this morning. Same situation- i have a b16 and he has a gsr. Im in for answers.


update- found the answer searching on google. According to a post in that thread, Honda does have them as different part numbers and different sizes.
GSR size is 11x164
b16 has a different number than the GSR and the size 11x155

Just here to confirm, you always get the head studs or head bolts for the block, in this case gsr is the way to go.
