I have done some searching and all I find is weight and how much. Not to much on different brands. I will prolly end up using some 10w30. I will not be driving my civic in the winter. I have a beater for that. I have also not found much info saying that for example royal purple is worh all the extra money.

RP is a very good oil for performance. You NEED to change it regularly as it breaks down very quickly.
Motul is all we run at the shop. High quality and is about the same price as RP.
You've also got Torco and RedLine.
Really it's personal choice. I would go Torco or Motul.
But what are you using it for? That should determine weight.

If you run quality oils you will know the difference if you ever crack the engine open. Motul, Torco, Amsoil, RP all good oils. I use Motul. Might just be me wanting to hear it but seems my car runs generally better with it in. I also had a pretty decent baseline dyno with it compared to other K20Z3s.

BradPenn actually isn't bad stuff. Made just outside of my hometown.
The only problem I have with most synthetic oils like Castrol and Mobil1 are that they aren't all 100% synthetic. They're usually still based off of a parafin/HC base.
Motul and Torco aren't. That's probably why they're also even more expensive than those shelf synthetics.

I have always run Mobile 1 5W-30 Fully Synthetic... I change it every 2700-3000 Miles... Its just driven on the street, no tracking or racing really. But I've always been happy with it.
