Well, this is my first ever experience with DA integra Ive only delt with CRX's and RSX's. Always been a fan and Knew I was sooner or later gonna end up with one. So Piked up my bro's DA9 and now is a fixer upper. Little problems here and there but one really bugs the crap out of me. The Car runs Extremely well but for some reason when I hit above 20mph there is this wierd Whining noise coming from the Guage Cluster. I have purchased a new One (in order to fix my Temp Guage due to its not working). Wondering if that will fix the problem.

Anyone else familiar with this issue??? Thanks

 

I have the same issue. I believe that it has something to do with the cable as the tach is run off a cable instead of electronically. I just bought my Da as well and was hoping to just put some oil on the cable. Lmk if you fix your problem.

 

Definitely, it seems the sound is coming from the Speedometer. I will see if switching out my Guage Cluster will fix it. and Post the results. And ill check the cable aswell as seeing that also might be the prob.

 

Well after a couple weeks of Procrastination, i took my dash apart and swaped out my Cluster. The Noise is from the Speedo and the Cable, I think its more of the Cable. and My Thermo guage flickers on and off but now I know that it has something to do with the wirering from the thermo stat seeing that its been spliced and connected with Butt connectors. So, I guess its time to get back to work.
