I think its a pretty simple problem. But for some reason I cant seem to find the info I need written up anywhere. When I cold start the motor in the morning or whenever it"s had time to cool down. It wants to idle at say 200rpms. I just had my valves and timing readjusted just because, and now when i cold start it stalls right out. I have to keep my gas going until it warms up, I get no fast idle. It's a late 97 so I dont have an FITV, but what i can't find out is if the EVAP purge valve that mounts on top of the manifold is the valve that is controlling my fast idle. If it isnt or is, greatly appreciated to anyone who could fill me in. I've still got alot to learn about these babies. I throw the P0441 code every week or so after reset, and i get the flucuating idle when operating temp and if i let it sit at 1100 or 1200 too long, it throws the P0505 code. i control that by using headlights and fog lights to my advantage to control the idle. I know, not good. Thanks for any help.
