I have seen a set of Crane cams for 800 cad of coarse which are suppose to be pretty good, then I have also seen Cat cams for 499 that was here in Edmonton. How is your intake manifold?? I heard that if you have a stock top end the manifold sucks and you loose lots of bottom end is this true??

I would recommend Skunk2 stage 1. You can use your stock valvetrain and daily drive on them without any problems. Unless you want to get a little more involved and change the valvetrain, then I would go with Stage 2. It all depends on the $ you want to spend and what your plans are for your car.

Tweak-- What do you think of dropping ctr cams in to my 94 gsr. this subject probably has been beat up but I am new. My car has a OPM prepared head with 025 milled off. I have header with pretty much open ehaust and a cold air box. the car is only used for road racing I got a cheap set of civic type r cams and wonder how they will work with my stock springs and retainers which are new. I also have a modified ecu with rev limiter deleted. I do have the shift lite set at 8500.
personally, I'm a little more conservative when it comes to making sure things are reliable. While I'm sure you can run the CTR's with your current springs, I wouldn't go revving that high on an extended basis with those cams.
there was a previous thread where a gs-r owner mentioned running ITR cams on an otherwise stock valvetrain without any problems....keep in mind that's a stock rev limit.
Personally, I would go ahead and get the beefier valvesprings. Portflows if you can afford them, or pretty much any other of the good springs out there work ( http://www.importreview.com) . At the very least get some ITR springs (they can be had for like $100 used here). All B-series retainers are the same. The ITR valves are a little ligher which makes a difference again. Also, with your head milled (the increased compression is great) but that leaves even less room to play with for valves.
