anyone know anything about WANLI tires??
I just bought a set of wanli s-1088 cuz they were hella cheep ($34 each) and I was wandering if anybody knows about these tires? It says its summer tires and high performance. Can someone give me an answer? Thanks!
I would not recomend those.I had them on my old accord and they were loud as hell in the highway, also they didn't have much traction. They get

Wanli isn't a no name brand, they are just budget tires that aren't advertised much. They have some pretty decent tires from my experience. They'll be fine for a daily driven car, but I would suggest a better tire if you even think about hitting the twisties
My friend bought some at El Monte a year ago for $200 installed, and he's complaining that the inner and outer sidewalls are cracking and splitting apart. I told him, if you spend just another $100 or more on some brand name tires, you could have what you bought for.
You can get some really good summer tires from the well-known without spending a lot of money. The Yokohama S.drive, Fuzion ZRi, and where available, the Kumho SPT all come to mind and are all excellent tires and reasonably priced. And if you want to spend a little less than for those and don't mind just a little lower performance, the General Exclaim UHP and Dunlop Direzza DZ101 are often a bit less money. I would take any of these instead of tires from the cheap brands (e.g. Wanli, Nexen).
But heck, you already bought them. Why don't you tell us how you like them, and what other tires you've used before?
