my new caR 1998 DB8 ITR sedan RHD
Well folks I am finally able to be a part of this subforum on h-t! I purchased this caR from shorsh (gspeedcorp.com) and it was finally delivered on thursday night! As soon as she was dropped off I had to wash her up and put her to bed in her new home. Unfortunately I went the cheap route and just purchased the shell... now Im in the hunt for a motor and she will sit for a while. I took out all the seats out and did a full interior detail on friday. The R needs a little TLC on the outside but other than that looks pretty clean. No major dents or anything just some scrapes and in need of some paint. Here are a few pics to hold you guys over.

First Bath:

She has a Momo Corse steering wheel... Im looking to swap this out for hub with removable wheel... anyone interested in a trade or know of one for sale please point me in the direction...

The Type R came with full coilovers! I have no idea what kinda they are.... if anyone could help me figure that out it would greatly appreciated.

Im also a little confused as to why the top and bottom parts of the calipers are resting on the rotors? It looks to be wrong (metal on metal)

A few other things I plan to do are strip the wheels as they were spray painted black and have them powder coated Bronze.
Swap out the steering wheel and hub.
Upgrade the brake pads and use a higher temp brake fluid for road race days.
Im sure there will be more changes to come!

Nice pick up?
Suspension kind of looks like Yonaka but I'm not sure. Here's a link https://honda-tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes-54/yonaka-full-coilovers-2381483/

I have always wanted a GSR 4door and never found a clean one for a good price so I have gone through a few hondas, acuras, etc over the past 6 years. my current daily is a 96 midori ek that will soon be up for sale once I find a heaRt for the R.
There are just over 167K km on the body. Im definitely stayin with the black seats. overall the interior is very clean now after my detail. I plan to get out and road race heR as much as possible!
The caliper brakets ARE resting on the rotor. Not sure if it spins freely, Ill yank the wheel back off and check it out.
A non-registered DB8-R from shorsh isnt too expensive. with motor I could have picked this up for $7000. he had 2 back in june, a white and this black one. I guess the white one was extremely clean because he said it was sold immediately.
The outside will stay the way it is until winter when I strip and powder coat my wheels bronze and the body work begins... my main priority is getting a swap right now!
Welp its sunday.... full exterior detail day!!
