Default need 5-10whp more!!

my setup is fully built h22
12:1
skunk2 pro2
twm 50mm itb
smsp header / 3" exhaust
aem underdrive pullies
s300
4.6FD

ran 13.1 at the 1/4...need a little more power.
what mods to do?

was thinking about a crank pulley but not sure if its safe or if it'll cause damage to the engine in the long run. How about those fluidamper ones? how light are those? going to lighten it up a bit too with a small batttery too if I can. Maybe strip the car...but theres not much I can do.

Your car must be very heavy. I suspect that 5-10 more HP not going to help you much. That setup should put down plenty of power to run 12's all day long.

H2B comes to mind. Not sure how that works in a lude.
Wouldn't happen to have a dyno with A/F on it?

i heard the ATI crank pulleys are one of the better investments to help preserve your oil pump. i would definitely get rid of the power steering and try for a test pipe. h2b would be a great idea, that would get you into the 12's for sure but thats another bundle of money to drop into it. where you using slicks?

My choice would be
Type S IM 60mm throttle.
Staged exhaust 2 1/2' at headers for 15' long. resonator and balance 3'
Did u tune the motor ???

my H22 timing is 12deg cause using 91 Octane
Dont advance too much the timing. you will result detonation
A good set up dont need big timing...
My LSVTEC cams type R 203WHP at 12deg.

Use EG Chassis, u get low 12 sec

:p

j/k bro...
your h2b must be 230-250whp isnt it?

i dont know what to say about prelude chassis, because i never try prelude for drag racing.. its a giant..

but removing ac, ps plus open exhaust would bring you 15-20hp
remove also the alternator belt, but dont forget to installed it back after the finish line, sound silly but 3-5hp worth

All you mentioned was a 13.1 in the 1/4 and no MPH. If you want to go faster, as in time, you need more practice driving and/or better traction. If you want more MPH, you'll need more power.

might have to look into that one. How much do those usually run? how much lighter are they? i want a prelude into the 12's. Anyone can get a eg into the 12's and cannot do h2b on a prelude chassis. My gearing is already to short as it is with the mfactory 4.6FD. Also has a quaife LSD.

that goes to show weight is a huge factor! a fully build H should be well into the 12's.........add a 50 shot and tune and you'll be into the mid 12's.

staying with all motor
a fully built H in a EG hatch should be well into the 12's not a prelude.
there isnt any prelude in the 12's yet that i know of. the closest is nat from blacktrax which ran 13.0
yeah i can drop this motor into an eg and run 11's but that'd be too easy. prelude chassis!!

spare tire never came with the car when i bought it and the jack is out. those trunk interior panels weigh next to nothing.....but i guess ill get them out for next day out and a genesis battery which weighs 12lbs? compared to the huge full sized interstate battery im running now which is like 40-50lbs. I ran the rota slipstreams on the back the last time and it didnt seem to make a difference at all. I got 17" gramlights 57pro on now but slicks on the front.

On paper, you should be making more than 250 WHP and trapping 110mph++

$hit, the cheapest one i know of is around $480 and thats for the street pulley(not sure about the weight). they have two lighter race pulleys, one is 5lbs and its around $550. the other is almost 4lbs (3.75 to be exact) and is $10 more than the 5lbs pulley... and thats from kingmotorsports. . what about removing the bumper supports? airbags? buy some FAL windows and hatch maybe? there are plenty of ways to shave the weight off its just going to make it less of a street car

Open headers usuly remove hp compare to a good exhaust line. 23hp lost on K24 of 290WHP removing exhaust at headers on the dyno...
