1993 civic VX. having some ignition problems.... car wouldnt start a month ago and i replaced ngk plugs, wires, and ignition coil. Car ran fine and then wouldnt start again this week. I replaced the ignition coil for a new one again and also put it a new dist. rotor. Car started up and ran perfectly. 10 minutes later i go to start it up, it runs for 2 seconds and dies. wont start up again.......

 

It will get very expensive replacing parts randomly. Check for spark as described here, and also listen for whether the fuel pump primes for 2 seconds (low humming sound in rear) when the key is turned to ON(II).

If you lack spark, have the igniter unit in the distributor tested. If the pump doesn't prime, then check the main relay.

Is the CEL on?
