installing an aftermarket oil temp gauge today and was wondering if anyone knew which color wire inside the distributor is the oil tempature(was told the temp would come from the distributor). which color wire on coolant temp sensor runs to water temp gauge as well. if someone knows i would greatly appreciated.. tried to search but didnt find anything

 

buy the electric full sweep guages that come with sender units. which is what i plan on doing.

 

i dont think there is an oil temperture sensor only oil pressure, you need a sender like anon said

 

most people including myself run a 'sandwich' adaptor that threads in between the block and your oil filter.

my guages are tapped through that for the oil temp and oil pressure.
