Maxed Megan Racing Coilovers. QUESTION
I have a set of Megan Racing Coilovers. The older version. Have a question on how to make them lower.
The fronts on my Megans slam, no problems with room to spare.. odd yes.
My rears.... not so much. they are maxed out and with a 205/55/16 tire i have about a finger gap. Is it possible to lower the rings on the perch a bit so they spring has to drop a half inch or so before it gets to the lock rings.
I know this isn't the smartest thing to do, but i don't plan on going off all 4's at anytime soon or doing any autocross. daily driving only.
Left is before. Right is after.

You mean the spring is loose when the vehicle is up on stands or so?
People drive with 'loose' springs around all the time.
Should be np. Search topics for 'loose springs'.

Yes. TY for the terminology. I know the 1 peice kits are suppose to be setup this way, but i have Megans and the cup on them are suppose to screw in and out while the spring stays perched in place. I guess ill just have to try it out and see what happens.
