Icon3 Obd2a to Obd1 ecu question???

I need to convert my 98 integra gs to obd1 from obd2a to get a tune. I was wondering if i need to get an obd1 ecu from a 94 and up? Or can it come from an earlier year?

You will need a chipped/socketed ecu that has a re-programmable chip in it.
You may as well buy a pre-chipped unit.
