Exhaust and Header Question
I had a DC 4-2-1 Stainless Steel header and a Thermal Stealth cat-back on my 95 gsr. I bought the header off someone with a 98 gsr and it fit fine when I installed it. Last week I took off my cat-back and put the stock one back on. Then I noticed a banging noise everytime I took a right hand turn. So I brought it to my mechanic and when it was on the lift, he showed me how the whole exhaust was off to the left side. He said this was because my new header was shorter than the stock one so it was pulling the whole exhaust forward and too the left. Is this true??? and why would the dc header be shorter than the stock one???? When I had my Thermal exhaust on everything was fine. Thanks
yea it prob is true. i tried to use a cat from a obd 2 integra after i pluged the whole for the o2 sensor. i was about an inch or 2 to short. it made my whole exhaust not fit right so i just left my stock one on.
