Looking for the switch spec's.

Does the switch ( on the receiver dryer ) also cut off the compressor when the pressure is too high? What is the high cut off point. Also, what is the low pressure cut off point.

I'm troubleshooting a problem on my 98 LX. I think the shop that charged the A/C possibly over pressured/over filled the system causing the comp to blow.

 

When the pressure switch opens (off), the compressor clutch will disengage but the condenser fan will continue to run.
