im doing an sir2 swap into my 96 ex and i was told from the person whos doing the swap that i would need a new throttle body beccause my engine is running at 50 % throttle and it feels like its a 10 hp car

 

its has the tb that came with the motor

 

i don't quite understand why it's running at 50% throttle... SiR-II.. B16? if the throttle opens and closes all the way, and the TPS is working correctly, you're fine running the original TB that came with the motor.

if the TPS is broken then i would say yeah you need a new TB. don't be fooled though, stock manifold/internals=stock TB size. all you'd need is a replacement, not a $200 "upgrade."

 

he was telling me sumthin about the senor not hooked up to it i think he was talkin about the map sensor im not sure ima give him a call and get the exact info

 

can the ckf affect this i havent done this mod yet
