Default Hi, I have a question that has been bugging me all week. SOS*

About 2 years ago, I bought a really clean single cam head from the junk yard. The head casting is (PM3-17) (94). And the casting on the block was (ZC). It's weird cuz I have searched this whole week and found that no one even mention anything about a head that has the casting PM3-17. This is my first question.

"A story to understand"

This PM3-17 head that I was just talking about has been sitting my garage for about two years now. And I had finally slapped it onto my brothers d16a6 block cuz the timing belt snapped and had a bad water pump. So that was my reason to slap it onto my brothers d16a6 block. The results after the installation was as good as I thought. ( I thought it was a ZC head). I beated 2 of my friends with stock DA, which made me really think that it is a ZC head. My Ef is also bone stock.

And today I have found out that it's a d15b dual carb that came out from a eg8 mx.
Could this be true? I was all excited that I had a ZC in the beginning and replaced my a6 head to a dual carb head? Haha.. It just got me kinda sad. But, how did I beated the DA's with that head? And with this head it seems to be a little stronger than the a6 head. But, yeah it also has this block off plate where the vtec solenoid goes.

Sorry for the random questions and thoughts.

It's cool bro, thanks for the offer. But this head that you have is really a ZC head? Do you remember the castings on your head? Jw, cuz I have that same extra cut out where the vtec solenoid goes to.

Well just because it's off a dual carb motor doesn't mean it sucks. There are a decent amount of people that run that motor. IIRC there is a guy in a pink sedan running All Motor with a carbed d15b. Runs quite well.

The motor from the factory put out ~100hp which i pretty decent. I wouldn't be so heart broken about it.
