Default hatch suspension

I've been having trouble finding this answer, but the 2 poles that hold up the hatchback on a 89 crx no longer work so I've been using a mop to hold it up. i went a junk yard and wasn't able to find a crx but i did find a honda hatchback i think it was a 92. would the suspension or shocks. (not sure of the proper name) would work on the crx?

just go to autozone and ask for a set of replacements. the ones off of a 92 civic hatch are about half that length. from what i remember, perhaps if you could find a ford aerostar (mini van) you might find a set of hatch struts that work good and are the correct length? i think they were the same length... doesn't hurt to try.

yes it can work...if you are planning to do so please do that as fast as you can because this problem can give rise to other problems also.
