ok so here is my problem...i just put some bbs rs on my car today, and what i realized is that the hub ring on my hub is a bit bigger than the center hole on the wheel and its causing the wheel to not sit flush against the hub (i have usdm ITR suspension 5 x 114.3). i am considering getting some 5mm wheel spacers do you think that would fix the problem?
are you running hubcentric ring or are you referring to the oem hub ring on your car?
i would:
a: bore out the wheels to be hubcentric to your car. i get charged $10 each for that service but it may vary.
b. see option a
jk. you can use the sandwich spacer but then watch out for vibration at highway speeds. it may or may not happen.

and what kind of place bores that out? i dont know any place around me that would do that...
The ITR suspension has a hub bore of 64 mm.
If you only use spacers to push the wheels out away from the hub, you will lose the hubcentricity of the hub, and the wheel will rely only on the lugs to center it. That makes them very susceptible to problems with vibrations.

ok so i should get the wheel center bored out? do they make a spacer that also has a smaller hubcentric ring for bbs rs wheels?

my buddy at a machine shop did it. it's something that's gotta be a perfect circle, so i let them do it. i've heard of people doing it with routers or even dremels and i've used both on 100's of occasions if not 1000's and i know they're not the right tool to cut a perfect circle in alumium.
you would most likely spend less $ opening up the center bore of the rim.
open up your phone book and call around.

yeah thats kinda what im leaning towards...plus the wheels are only +45 so i want them to stick out a bit more...i think 5mm would look better.
using spacers puts more strain on the lug nuts. extended or not. i'd just get them bored out, it'll run smoother too. i've heard that the spacers tend to cause vibrations.
hey can u post some pics up? did u paint them or anything? and where'd u get the spacers? 8mm isn't a bad amount of space at all. i'm assuming u just left the bore alone. sounds way cheaper, i was thinking you'd have to get a thicker spacer. sounds like great news!
oh, and the spacer u used...which center bore did it have? i actually have 2 sets of these rims and i only bored out one set so i'd like to save a buck on the 2nd set if possible. thanks! u can pm me if u prefer

yes i can post pics in the afternoon...i can go take some. and no i didnt not paint the RS's although i am planning on repainting the centers silver eventually. i got the spacers from a local car shop. and yes i left the bore alone, it is not a problem anymore
i actually wouldve been ok with like a 5mm but 8mm is all they had...as far as the center bore of the spacer...it has to be close to 68-69mm because it fit on the itr hub perfectly and it had about 2-3mm of space around the oem hub ring on each side. lol hope you can understand this huge paragraph.
