Anyone else running their RSX on track (road course)?
It's hard to tell how good our cars are until you push them to the limit on-track.
3 days at VIR (Fri-Sun) was an absolute blast running against everything from Civic hatch hybrids to Porsches and BMWs to Corvettes and Vipers. Yes, most of the high horsepower cars pulled me badly on the straights, but keeping up with them or even pushing them through the corners is FUN!
If you haven't done it yet, give HPDE a try - and save your money on the mods, invest in driver skills. The car is pretty damned great stock!

I did a 3 day road-racing school at Talledega back in the spring. Best $$$ I have spent. You do learn the limits and capabilities of your vehicle in a safe enviornment....and also how it stacks up against others
My car was bone stock at the time and I felt it did really well, except for the stock michelins and brake pads
I can't wait to get back next year with Azenis, Hawk pads, and other goodies. Incidentally, members of my club are chomping at the bit to get some track time at VIR, do you know of any events in the fall or spring offhand?

I went once last year... I had Kumho Ecsta 712 225/50R16 and Porterfield R4S pads in the front. The car is ok. Nothing to compare with my old ITR. It's why I didn't go this year.
After I compare both cars, there is no point of going back there with RSX unless I do some major mods to it (suspension, slip).

I've got Azenis 225/45R17 and Panther Plus pads F/R. They both work really well. I could use some negative camber up front to get more contact patch in cornering (I'm wearing the outside of the tires off). Other than that, upgraded to Motul 600 fluid - never any problems with fade - and I just put D3 Designs front/rear chassis stiffening bars on the car, which had little effect on the handling from what I could tell.
Any pics?

to stuff I like to see, people educating themselves...Until you really push your car, you don't have any real appreciation for it.
Good observation!
A.
just be prepared to slide on the crapola tires!
My first track event was on the stock tires.
Also, get a better set of brake pads - the car stops very well with a good set of pads, unlike the stock ones. My instructor, who drives a 911 Turbo, was extremely impressed with the RSX, especially the brakes.
