my setup, your thoughts?
decided to post my steup here and see what kind of opinion and thoughts you guys can lend. this is my first official build so any help is appreciated.
my goal is decently quick street car and the rout ive decided is ls/vtec setup and this is what i have so far.
B18a1 LS
Golden Eagle 1.9 Stroker light weight crank/kit
Eagle rods
SRP 12.5:1 pistons
Brand new OEM honda bearings (built by Honda Ken at Honda of Grand Blanc)
ITR oil pump
New timing belt tensioner
its 81.5 BORE and ARP rod bolts
now being money is tight im going to hold off on any head work and cams right now until i can afford it but ive been slacking and need to get this motor in the car before winter. but the car (crx) already has a jdm b16 swap and im just going to swap the head on the block for time being. but the priorities to get this thing running is as follows:
-arp head studs
-victor x mated to a 68 mm throttle body (already have tb)
-hondata intake manifold gasket
-timing belt
-cometic headgasket
-gsr cams/ adjustable cam gears
-fpr
-dsm blue top 450 injectors
-some type of header and test pipe (already have full 2.5" bc specII)
-p28 and obd-1 conversion and alternator
-hondata s100
-traction bar
-tune
basically asking for your opinion on what i need and what i already have. like for instance am i gonna need any specific gauges like a wideband ect... you get the drift.
let me know what you think or what i can improve on before i buy and finish my build.

Im waiting to see what DonF and b19coupe say about this. But your cam selection will determine your final power numbers. (aside from you choice of tuner).
im gonna wait on cams right now, because with cams comes springs and retainers possibly valves and i just cant foot the cash right now. but in the future it will bbe done along with an 100 shot
It doesn't matter..
personally i'll say victor X is ****.. the manifold is entirely too big for any all motor setup under 2.0liter+ and if u dont have a turbo its **** too.
Its plenum is too big.. and the runners or too short
This manifold likes alot of forced induction and/or high revs in the upward 10k rpm range to even ulitizle it.
The performerX has a good sized plenum while its not too big, its not too small and its runners are just long enough to keep that low end great and taht high end awesome.
You need to do alittle research on manifold, there was a test about a year ago done on here with kingmotorsports
Where they tested the performerX vs victorX,IB ported itr manifold, the skunk2 manifold pro series and the blox and some other manifold
and the performerX **** on EVERYTHING, and it beat the victorX manifold by like 12whp difference.
I personally think that manifold is crap.
