Strange hestitation on warm-up
My 2000 Accord Coupe has a weird symptom that does not feel serious, but it bugs me. On the same place on the road every day after first start-up, at about 1 1/2 minutes driving, there is a noticeable hesitation or pull-back from acceleration that lasts only a second. It's like a bump in the engine.
The road is a very slight downward grade and I'm driving there at light throttle. There is a slight reduction in RPMs, but barely. There's no sound, and it doesnt feel like the transmission is involved. My first thought is that it's an emission control that is kicking in, like the EGR. I thought that if it was an EGR problem, it would last longer.
The fact that it is at exactly the same distance/time from home means to me that it's something that is supposed to engage, but is malfunctioning.
Any ideas?
