Default Blox B-Series VTEC High Compression Valve Set

hey so im fixing to rebuild my head soon and i was looking into the blox valve set intake and exhaust i was just wondering would these fit in without any head work done to it. Would they just place in like the oem ones?

If you want to do this right you would get a valve job. If you just want to half *** it then you maybe could get away with just lapping in the valves. If you want to just "slap it together" then you could do what you described and start burning candles.

i was just wondering cause in the descriptions they dont say anything about oversize or oem size and if it was required wouldnt they tell us it needs modification to the head?

No off the shelf valve will fix correctly. They are cut to match the valve seats (ie valve job). a simple valve job is about 300.

No, it is common knowledge that when you will replace the valves you get a valve job.

Do you have a Helms manual?

LOL, why are you replacing the valves in the 1st place?

What you are attempting to do is waste money. Without a valve job, I guess I don't understand the purpose.

You definitely need a valve job. Don't mess around.

that's all well and good but if you replace valves without a valvejob, just send your money to me and throw your head away. That's about all the good it will do.

^^^LOL, I guess that proves your point.

Maybe you should try a leakdown test.

It isn't always nesasary to get a vj but it is recommended to at least get them checked to see if they seal. It's like putting a used head on a motor it may seal or not but you should get the deck checked at a minimum so you don't waste time and money doing it twice.

You got lucky this time around be gratefull not condesending because we told you how to do it right and you ignored it and were luckily rewarded.

If I were you I wouldn't waste your cash on the lottery friday your luck for the has been used up,lol.

If by drop in you mean will they fit, then yes. After you do that without a valve job let us know what your leakdown test looks like so we can say I told you so...

Even though your valves seal now, you don't know how long they will seal. It may last 100k miles or they may leak in a month. That is why I would have ground the seats.

It's amazing, people come on here asking for advice and they just ignore it. Why even ask?
