So I'm backing out of the driveway and I let it roll since its a slope but when I put it into reverse and gave it gas, it died! I tried starting it and got it started a few times but it was idling very rough. I tried giving it a little juice at the pedal and the engine died! After a couple more tries of starting it it just cranked and cranked and got this ugly hum from my intake at the end.
Any help is appreciated!

 

It's more than likely the IACV happened to my buddies motor, unplug the IACV and see if the humming goes away. He swapped out another main relay and it was fine. So try that and see if that works.

 

I've never heard of this part. Sorry I cant memorize all these acronyms.
Where is it located?

 

What motor? If it's a MPFI motor, it's on the backside of the intake manifold just to the right of the throttle body.

 

intake air controll valve, located on the back of the intake manifold

 

idle air control valve backside of the manifold mines been bad for awhile but never hear a humming noise

 

Oh my bad, its a D15. I will check for that.
