What ECU for 83mm sleeved GSR?
I have an 83mm sleeved block, with CP pistons 9.0:1, manley rods, and acl bearings. The car does have an LS crank, thefore making this block an 83x89 with more stroke. Decked as well.
The head is virtually a stock gsr head with itr valve springs, retainers, ferrea 6000 valves and bronze valve guides, along with a 5 angle valve job. Head was also milled a bit for smoothness.
Skunk2 Pro series manifold as well Pro series cam gears, stock 0,0 timing.
I will need to pull the car out and get it on the road, safely until i go turbo later on in April 2010.
As of now i have an obd2b p72 ecu, but i am converting to obd1 in order to tune effectively down the line.
What ECU would get this car out on the road, without damaging anything and that will be ok for me to drive around for about 6 months. I mean, the motor is built, but nothing crazy, stock compression and no bumpup in fuel or anything like that.
The only real difference is the intake manifold.
Any help would be appreciated.

I honestly don't think any of them, Your best bet would buy a tunable ecu now, cause I believe your just asking for trouble if you want to toss on an ecu and run it without any sort of tune on it since you by no means have a stock engine anymore.
My 2 cents.
I guess figure out what the total displacement is go from there... I would get it quickly tuned might cost some money now but you wouldn't want that engine to go to **** before you force feed 2 bar down its throat! "Neptune" perhaps

I was looking into the phearable.net chipped p28s. They seem to be a very good deal when it comes to tuning basemaps. I just need something to get me around everyday...and pretty much is like a b20 if you really think about it...
9.2:1
1.9L
Could anyone confirm if a chipped p28 or obd1 p72 would be good to run on this car for several months with no problems?
