Yes, I checked the "engine swap" sticky. I'm not looking at performance. I don't care if I'll lose power or gain power or anything like that. I need a good running car and I have a brand new 94 Civic LX engine and transmission sitting here with nothing for it to go into. The car is smashed but the engine and transmission are still good.

From what I've been able to decipher it is a stock D15B7 and apparently that's the same engine as 92-95 DXs and LXs and 93-95 del Sols. What else could this motor and trans just bolt into? For example, would it go into a 91 CRX? Or possibly an 88 City? A list of vehicles and years would be great. This is all the information I need to know. Thanks in advance!

 

88-00 civic would work. with little modification, ecu and shifter
88-91 civic you need a cable tranny

your answer is yes. you can put that motor inthem cars. just depends how far back you go in generations. the farther back you go the harder it gets obviously.
but it isnt too difficult.
whatever generation car you pick for it go to that generation thread on H-T you will find more info there and youl find people that have done it.

 

I'm looking for bolt right in same engine parts same computer same everything. Which models will it go into? I mean I'm looking to do this cheaply as possible, ie free besides purchasing the body.
