Strange brake squeak
I've got an odd squeak / creak / rubbing noise coming from the left front wheel.
I don't hear it until after about 5 minutes of driving the car and it goes away as soon as I press the brake pedal and comes back when the pedal is released
I took off the wheel and twisted the brake disc back and forth and the noise is coming from the inside the brake caliper housing. Can't see any scoring or out of the ordinary wear on the disc.
The car is a 2002 civic ex w/ 63k miles. The brakes have never been worked on AFIK.
Any thoughts on what this might be??

At 63k miles I think you're looking at new pads! Have you taken a look at them? They should have at least a 1/16" left. If not you'll want to replace them as a set, left and right.
agreed. thats the brake wear indicators built into your pads to warn you its about that time again. they will do exactly as described.
