How to remove engine mount for accord 2000 4 Cylinders 2.3L coupe
Hi, first time DIY, help desperately needed to keep going.
Trying to change the timing belt myself, stuck at the step to remove the engine mount beside the timing belt cover. "Now remove the driver side engine mount".
I removed all the bolt on the engine mount, 3 big 17MM bolt, ground wire, a smaller one at the center of the metal mount, I even remove three 14MM bolts at the base. But the mount does not move at all. Any idea?

Did you jack up the engine to take the force off the mount? With all the bolts removed, it should slide right out.
this doesn't really jive... neither did one of your posts in another thread. please keep it helpful.
Thank you very much for the great suggestion. I just put a jack under the engine oil pan to support the engine if it falls after mount removed, which didn't succeed. I will try to jack it up tonight!
Make sure to put a 2x4 (or something with more surface area) between the jack and your oil pan, gigantic holes in your oil pan are bad for performance
