after about a 5 minute freeway drive, my car's RPM just slowly drops till it cuts out on its own. Im just not at a complete stop.. i just let off gas, gear from 5th to neutral, and the engine cuts itself. i don't know what happen. I didn't do any engine related work prior to this problem. But i did drove the car from Norcal to Socal this past weekend.
Has anyone had any similar problem? car drives fine if the RPM is kept up by revving. but as soon as i let off the gas pedal, it just slowly drops on its own.

Yah mine does the same thing but only when the engine is cold. When I start it up it revs well but after i put it in to gear and go to the end of the street it'll stall as soon as i hit a stop sign. When the engine is at operating temp it dosnt do it tho.
I have has this problem in two different cars my 91 zc crx and 99 accord. The accord does this intermediately and people tell me it is the IVAC and that I should clean it but since it only does it intermediately I have not done it yet. On te crx when I mess with my FPR it does this and i think i just need a new one but dont have the money. Try running with the a/c on and see if it makes a difference cuz the a/c will bost the idle and then i would assume it is the IVAC
