I just bought a 99 gsr that has coilovers on the front, (don't know what brand), and nothing on the back, I will eventually up grade the whole suspension sometime within a year, but for now I want to lower the back temp, can I buy an eibach lowering kit like sportline and just put the back ones on and leave the front as is, or is this bad? Can I just buy rear springs without having to buy the whole kit?

 

well the two diffrent shouldnt matter but when you say just buy springs if you mean putting them on your factory struts or shocks then that is bad....it will blow them your better off geting the whole setup

Save your money and buy a matching set.

 

unless you can figure out what the rates are this is what i would do. the last thing you want is something like a 500lb coilover up front and a 130lb lowering spring out back.
