new parts questions

Default new parts questions

i just bought a new MSD Blaster coil and MSD distributor cap and rotor kit. in the instructions for the coil it say that i need a whole new distributor which is $500 that i dont wanna spend. on the other hand in the instructions for the cap and rotor it gives instructions for just the cap and coil. which route should i take?

Why would you buy that stuff in the first place??


The OEM ignition system is fine as it is.

your stock dizzy can hold up to 400hp from what i was told.. return it (not needed)

I don't see anyone suggesting getting aftermarket ignition parts. OEM replacement parts are readily available and at lower prices. The stock coil is inside the distributor and you could probably get one cheap at a junkyard. The cap and rotor is like $20
