do i really need the HID jdm headlights?
i have a jdm front on my teg and the headlights need replacing, now i have the non hid headlights, but i have hid's in them, the cut off seem pretty good, so my question is, can i just get the non hid headlights, or should i really spring for 800 for the HID lights?
well in terms of the cut off and the lighting and what not. i mean i want the HID's so bad but i dont have 800$ to be spending on headlights lol
no, i meant i have the money but not enough to be blowing 800 on headlights when i could get the non hid's and get other important things. if i need them, ill get them, if not then i might not get them. i have enough money for them, but who would rather spend 800 than 300
I wouldnt do it, but i had a PnP kit in non HID black housings and i thought it was fine. I compared it to my TSX and my S2000 and was satisfied.

There's a reason why they cost so much more. Halogen Projectors have nowhere near the out-put quality a true HID Projector has. If that isn't important to you then get the non-HIDs. Personally, HID Projectors with a 4300k > ALL.
You have to remember one thing...the JDM ITR headlights are different than any USDM ones.
The cutoff step on the USDM hid equipped cars steps up on the RIGHT toward the passenger side (LHD)
On the JDM headlights, the cutoff step is on the driver side (hence the RHD)...therefore...
It will be more of a distraction to oncoming traffic since the driver side will have a higher cutoff, potentially blinding some other drivers.
My suggestion....Get the lights you already have, freshened up by a retrofit company such as customlightz. Get some TSX projectors, ballasts and bulbs, and do a retrofit. Not only will it look nicer than a pnp kit, but it will also have the correct cutoff pattern for LHD vehicles. You wont blind anyone and it would look extremely nice...
And all that, for probably the same price you are going to be paying for the JDM HID headlights...
Talk to Bjorn from Customlightz...a very good friend of mine, and great guy. he will direct you and give you the rundown on everything you need, along with his sick custome wiring harnesses with extra fuses and thicker wiring for more safety and protection.
Do it right, or dont do it at all...

^ agreed, blinding traffic isnt cool
non-hid projectors work .. hid projectors have a slightly better light pattern.. make your decision

Cheaper to get the non HID, buy a PnP HID kit from ebay, and be done with it. I did that four times already. all my lights are in PnP HID. Even the Fogs. the 9006 and 9005 are so easy. This is on the Sir-g front end, not the ITR. My brother has got the ITR front end, those fogs would not be easy to do.

Every HID I've used has a better beam pattern than halogen and are just so much brighter. The HID low beams are way brighter that Halogen High beams.
