I heard the white wires getting swapped would make the car not run obviously but what are the more specific symptoms??? some people say it thinks the car is running at redline does that shut down the fuel completely?

 

i believe if that happens it will make the car not run, obviously, and you'll throw an igniter output signal code. when the throttle position sensor outer wires are not switched is what makes the car think it's at redline when you're at the opposite.

 

If your talking about the white wires at the distributor, your timing will be retarded but you will not get a code from it.

 

The car won't even start, the large white wire goes to the Coil for the Ignition Output signal, and the other wire is for Cylinder Position Sensor.
