Default No amp, component or coaxials?

I recently installed a new pioneer headunit in my 99 integra GSR it a premier DEH-9310UB. I'm looking to match some decent speakers with it. I do not plan on purchasing an amp, and I'm looking at some polk audio component speakers. Should I go with the components or coaxials?

Also, when installing components I 100% do not want to wire through the door into the HU, can I install them by using the stock wiring and adaptors??

I am beyond a noob w/ regard to anything stereo related, so bear w/ me. Ask me to rip out an engine or tranny, and thats a diff story . Thx for the replies

You’ll be wasting your money on components if you’re just going to run them without an amp. Some decent 2 way coaxials will sound good off the deck's power, which will be a major improvement over the stock speakers. You’ll be fine with the stock speaker wires, but you’ll need an adapter plate to mount the speaker. You could make one out of ½” MDF board then spray paint it with those spray on bedliners to protect it from moisture.

My stock setup has a speaker and tweeter seperated from eachother and doesn't run an additional amp, is this simply because they are shitty speakers that don't require much power?

Also if I were to run components, would there be any need to run wiring through the door and into the HU?

I guess that depends where you want to mount the passive crossover. If you want to mount it inside the door then no need to run any new wiring. But if you want to have the crossover lets say under the dashboard, then it'll be better to run some new wiring. The component system will still be 4ohms so they won't draw out any extra power so the stock wiring will be ok. I would try to get a 2 channel amp to power the components if anything. Such as a kicker zx250.2 will greatly improve the sound.
