Icon2 02 AT Civic Sedan Auto Cruise kept on disengaging itself, please help T_T

Hello, this is my first post here, I have searched other cruise control

problems thread here but couldnt find an answer so.. Thank you for helping

meT_T

The Cruise Control of my 02 Civic Sedan(AT) doesnt stay engaged.

sometimes it works fine for 1~2 hours non-stop, sometimes it disengages

itself only 20 sec after it's engaged. when it starts to disengage itself, at

first the cruise control indicator in the cluster is still on, but you can notice

the speed drop and sometimes it shifts the transmission to lower gear for a

split second then no throttle then another split second throttle on lower

gear before its totally off(Cruse Control Indicator in cluster is off, but

master switch still on).

And it appears that when i have AC on, it lasts longer, when its hot in the

cabin it always fails pretty fast. I tried to take out the Auto Cruise under

the dash, Found no burn and anything on the circuit board, Ive done the

little 10k 0.5 watt resistor mod but the problem remains.

My question is should I just change the Auto Cruise computer or?

Thanks a lot!!
