Best Ballast locations for '94 thru '97 Accords?
The title is pretty much self explanatory. I'm just looking for suggestions for Ballast locations.
What with all the bottles / fans / ect filling every nook and cranny space is at a premium.
I'll be installing Retrosolutions' 55w 9006 and I need a sanitary home for the ballasts.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

you can put the the ballasts behind the fenders. That's what i did with mine.
I remove the fenders, then used 'cable tie straps/quick tie' to hold them against the side walls. :-)
I just don't remember if you need to take out the front bumpers in order the take out the fenders.
For me, this is a good way of saving up any space you have in you have under the hood. The downside though is, when you have to replace the ballast/s, then you'd have to go through the process again. But it wont be anytime within a yr, unless the ballast/s is/are defective.

For mine I ziptied them to the hole on the fender so they "hang". However, i'll be using double sided tape to tape the bottom portion to the side of the engine bay.
Are you using an accessory harness? I have the 35w kit w/ a harness to prevent burning out the OEM headlight switch.

I'm just trying to avoid hours of trial and error locating everything. I would like to keep everything under the hood (however)

Well I don't think there are all that many great locations in our gens that are easy to get to. The passenger side is particularly bad if you have an SRI b/c the massive filter blocks all easy access it seems like.
I suppose you could also mount them underneath the radiator support bar.

I was hoping for a deluge of suggestions. I guess this forum doesn't generate much interest.

Hey P, for my fog lights I snuck them into the actual bumper beam (had double sided foam tape) since the fogs went with the bumper it made the most sense.
I am unsure whether or not your SE has the ABS option (assuming that's where your going) but you should be able to attach them to the outside of the bumper mounting bracket on the rad support. Should give you plenty of maneuvering room. Most ballasts are water resistant and should be fine there.
